The concept of a standard page is used mostly by translators and writers (and possibly elsewhere). To avoid unnecessary speculation, it is well established that one standard page contains 250 words, that is 1,800 characters. The characters include spaces and footnotes.
If you like numbers, you will be interested to know that a text of 1,800 characters (including spaces) is equivalent to 30 lines with 60 keystrokes.
We calculate the price based on the number of words in the source / original text, if you send this electronically. In the case of printed texts or electronic formats that do not allow us to specify the number of words, we determine the translation price based on the number of words of the target / translated text.
CAT stands for computer aided translation. CAT tools don't replace our work, but they accelerate it by saving translated text into a so-called translation memory.

We will deliver the translation in the format you need (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF etc.).
The usual standard for translators is 2,000 - 3,000 words, or 8-12 standards pages in one working day. However, we try to tailor the translation deadline to your needs, so in the case of extensive or express translations we can create a special team of several translators and thereby accelerate the translation.
A judicially certified translation is a document for official use, for submission to authorities, the police or in courts, both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
We will attach the translation to the original document including a court interpreter's clause (translator's statement about the authenticity of the text), a round stamp and the translator’s signature.
In consecutive interpreting the speaker delivers their speech in short segments, then leaves time for the interpreter to translate, and then continues to speak. This is the most common type of interpreting and is used mostly for a smaller number of participants, i.e. during lectures, business meetings, speeches, etc.
In simultaneous interpreting the interpreter translates while the speaker is speaking. The interpreter translates what has just been said while listening to the rest of the speech. This is the most difficult form of interpreting, and it is appropriate to have at least two interpreters for the job. This method of interpreting is usually used at events with a larger number of participants, i.e. in interviews, meetings, congresses, etc.

A direct translation is an instant translation from the source language into the target language. For example, the source text is in Italian and you want it translated into Czech. A translator specializing in the Italian – Czech language combination directly translates the document into Czech.
An indirect translation is applied to less common languages, when we cannot provide a translator for a direction translation of the given language combination. We therefore first produce a translation of the source language into English, and then from English into the target language (for example, Czech - English - Turkish).
